If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return it for a full refund or exchange it for a different item, subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.

3. Your Legal Rights (UK Consumer Protection)

This policy is in addition to your statutory rights under UK law, which cannot be excluded or limited.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the following legal rights when shopping with us:

3.1 Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

You have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, for any reason, without needing to provide justification. This is known as your "cooling-off period" or "right to cancel."

The 14-day period begins:

  • On the day after you receive your item(s)
  • For multiple items ordered together but delivered separately: the day after you receive the last item
  • For items delivered in instalments: the day after you receive the last instalment

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision within 14 days by contacting support@gionetto.com.

3.2 Right to a Refund

If you cancel your order within the 14-day cooling-off period, you are entitled to a full refund of the price you paid for the goods, including standard delivery costs (if applicable).

We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return (whichever is earlier).

3.3 Right to Repair, Replacement, or Refund (Faulty Goods)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you have the right to:

  • Within 30 days of purchase: Reject the item and receive a full refund
  • After 30 days: Request a repair or replacement. If repair or replacement is not possible or fails, you can claim a refund or price reduction
  • Within 6 months: The fault is presumed to have existed at the time of purchase unless we can prove otherwise
  • Up to 6 years: You may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund if the item develops a fault

Important: These rights apply in addition to our standard return policy and do not affect your statutory rights.

3.4 Exclusions to the Right to Cancel

Under UK law, the following items are excluded from the 14-day cooling-off period:

  • Personalised, customised, or made-to-order items
  • Sealed goods that have been unsealed and cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons
  • Items that deteriorate or expire rapidly
  • Digital content if you have consented to immediate download and waived your cancellation right
  • Gift cards and vouchers

These exclusions do not apply to faulty, defective, or mis-described items, which are always eligible for return under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.


4. Standard Return Policy (14-Day Return Window)

We offer a 14-day return window for all orders delivered to the United Kingdom. The 14-day period begins on the date your package is delivered to you.

To be eligible for a return, you must:

  • Contact us at support@gionetto.com within 14 days of receiving your order
  • Provide your order number and reason for return
  • Return the item(s) in accordance with the conditions outlined below

After 14 days from delivery, standard returns will not be accepted. However, your statutory rights for faulty or defective goods remain unaffected.


5. Return Eligibility & Conditions

To qualify for a full refund or exchange, returned items must meet ALL of the following conditions:

  • Unused & Unworn: Items must be in new, unworn condition with no signs of wear, use, or damage
  • Original Condition: Items must be free from stains, marks, discolouration, odours, or alterations
  • Tags Attached: All original tags, labels, and security tags must be attached and intact
  • Original Packaging: Items must be returned in their original packaging or packaging equivalent to the original condition
  • No Alterations: Items must not have been altered, modified, tailored, or customised in any way
  • Complete: All components, accessories, documentation, and packaging materials must be included
  • Hygienic: Items must be returned in a hygienic and resalable condition

⚠️ Important: We reserve the right to inspect all returned items. Returns that do not meet these conditions may be rejected or subject to a partial refund. Rejected returns will be returned to you at your expense, and you will be notified by email before any action is taken.

Note: These conditions do not apply to faulty, defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied items, which are covered under Section 9 of this policy.


6. Return Costs & Fees

Return Shipping Cost: FREE

We provide a prepaid return label for all eligible returns from the United Kingdom. You will not pay any return shipping costs when using our prepaid label.

Restocking Fee: £0.00

We do not charge any restocking fees, inspection fees, handling fees, or administrative charges for eligible returns.

No Hidden Charges:

Your refund will be the full original purchase price you paid for the item(s). Please note:

  • Original standard shipping costs are non-refundable (unless the return is due to our error or a faulty item)
  • If you selected expedited or express shipping, only the standard shipping cost will be refunded
  • If you received free shipping on your order, no shipping costs will be deducted from your refund

7. Exchange Policy (Size, Colour, or Style)

✅ We accept direct exchanges! If you need a different size, colour, or style, we offer two convenient options:

Option 1: Direct Exchange (Fastest)

We will send you the replacement item as soon as we receive your return, ensuring minimal delay.

How it works:

  1. Contact us at support@gionetto.com within 14 days of delivery
  2. Specify the item you want to exchange and the replacement item (size, colour, or style)
  3. We will send you a prepaid return label and confirm availability of the replacement item
  4. Pack and return the original item using the prepaid label
  5. Once we receive and inspect your return, we will ship the replacement item within 1–2 business days
  6. You will receive a tracking number for the replacement shipment

Exchange Conditions:

  • The replacement item must be of equal or lesser value than the original item
  • If the replacement item is of greater value, you will be invoiced for the price difference before shipment
  • If the replacement item is of lesser value, we will refund the difference to your original payment method
  • The original item must meet all return eligibility conditions (Section 5)
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the replacement item is out of stock, we will offer a full refund or alternative item

Option 2: Return for Refund + New Order

If you prefer, you can return the original item for a full refund and place a new order for the desired item.

How it works:

  1. Follow the standard return process (Section 8)
  2. Once your refund is processed, place a new order for the desired item

Note: This option may take longer, as you will need to wait for the refund to be processed before placing a new order.

Exchange Shipping Costs

  • Return Shipping: FREE (prepaid label provided)
  • Replacement Shipping: FREE (we cover the cost of shipping the replacement item to you)

⚠️ Important: Exchanges are only available within the 14-day return window. After 14 days, you may still return faulty or defective items under your statutory rights (Section 3).


8. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

To start a return or exchange, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Contact Us

Email support@gionetto.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Item(s) you wish to return or exchange
  • Reason for return or exchange
  • For exchanges: specify the replacement item (size, colour, or style)

Step 2: Receive Return Label & Instructions

We will email you a prepaid return label within 1–2 business days, along with:

  • Specific return instructions
  • Return address (provided on the label)
  • Return authorisation number (if applicable)
  • Packaging guidelines

Step 3: Pack Your Item Securely

Pack the item(s) securely in the original packaging or a suitable alternative. Ensure:

  • All tags, labels, and accessories are included
  • The item is protected from damage during transit
  • The package is sealed securely

Step 4: Print & Attach Return Label

Print the prepaid return label we sent you and securely attach it to the outside of the package. Do not cover or obscure the barcode or tracking number.

Step 5: Ship It Back

Drop off the package at the designated carrier location specified on the return label (e.g., Royal Mail, DHL, Parcelforce, or other carrier).

⚠️ Important: Please obtain a receipt or proof of postage from the carrier. This will serve as proof that you have returned the item in case of any issues.

Step 6: Track Your Return

Use the tracking number provided on the return label to monitor your return shipment. You can also contact us at support@gionetto.com for updates.

⚠️ International Returns

Do not send returns to our business address in the United States without prior authorisation.

Always wait to receive your prepaid return label and specific instructions from us before sending any items back. The return address will be provided on the label we send you. Unauthorised returns sent to our US address will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your expense.


9. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, faulty, or incorrect item, we will replace it or issue a full refund at no cost to you. This is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

What to Do:

  1. Contact support@gionetto.com within 48 hours of delivery (or as soon as you discover the fault)
  2. Include your order number and a clear description of the issue
  3. Attach clear photos showing the damage, defect, or incorrect item
  4. We will arrange for a replacement or full refund

Your Options:

  • Replacement: We will send you a replacement item at no cost, with free expedited shipping
  • Full Refund: We will issue a full refund, including original shipping costs
  • Partial Refund: If you wish to keep the item despite the fault, we may offer a partial refund or discount

Return Shipping for Faulty Items:

FREE. We will provide a prepaid return label, and you will not pay any return shipping costs.

Extended Protection for Faulty Items:

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have extended rights for faulty or defective items:

  • Within 30 days: Full refund with no questions asked
  • After 30 days: Repair or replacement. If not possible, full or partial refund
  • Within 6 months: The fault is presumed to have existed at the time of purchase
  • Up to 6 years: You may still be entitled to a remedy if the item develops a fault

10. Refund Processing Timeline

Once we receive your returned item, we will process your refund as follows:

Bank Transfer 3–5 business days for your bank to credit your account

Refund Method: Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to process the credit.

Refund Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed. Please allow 3–5 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

⚠️ Legal Requirement: Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, we are required to process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return (whichever is earlier). We aim to meet or exceed this requirement.


11. Refund Method & Payment Processing

Refunds are issued to your original payment method as follows:

  • Credit/Debit Card: Refund appears as a credit to your card account within 3–5 business days after processing
  • PayPal: Refund is processed back to your PayPal account within 1–2 business days after processing
  • Digital Wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay): Refund is processed back to your wallet within 1–3 business days after processing
  • Other Payment Methods: Refund is processed according to the payment method's procedures

Note: We cannot issue refunds to a different payment method or account than the one used for the original purchase.


12. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are NOT eligible for return under our standard return policy:

  • Gift cards and vouchers (non-refundable)
  • Final sale items (clearly marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance" at checkout)
  • Personalised or customised items (made-to-order or engraved items)
  • Items that have been worn, used, washed, or damaged by the customer
  • Items that have been altered, modified, or tailored
  • Items without original tags, labels, or packaging
  • Items returned outside the 14-day window (unless faulty)
  • Hygiene-sensitive items that have been unsealed (if applicable)

13. Partial Refunds

We issue full refunds for all eligible returns. However, partial refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Item is returned in used, worn, or damaged condition (we may deduct a percentage based on the loss in value)
  • Item is missing components, accessories, tags, or packaging
  • Item shows signs of wear, alteration, or modification
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable (unless the return is due to our error or a faulty item)

Note: If a partial refund is necessary, we will contact you by email before processing the refund to explain the deduction and provide you with the option to have the item returned to you instead.


14. Lost or Damaged Returns in Transit

If your return package is lost or damaged in transit:

  1. Contact support@gionetto.com immediately with your return tracking number
  2. We will file a claim with the carrier on your behalf
  3. Once the claim is resolved, we will issue a full refund or replacement
  4. You will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit when using our prepaid return label

⚠️ Important: Always obtain proof of postage or a receipt when dropping off your return. This will serve as evidence that you returned the item.


15. Cancellations Before Dispatch

You have the right to cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched.

How to Cancel:

  1. Contact support@gionetto.com as soon as possible with your order number
  2. If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will cancel it and issue a full refund
  3. If your order has already been dispatched, you will need to follow the standard return process once you receive it

Refund for Cancelled Orders: Full refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.


16. Sale & Discounted Items

Sale and discounted items are eligible for return and exchange under the same conditions as regular-priced items, unless clearly marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance" at checkout.

Refund Amount: Refunds are issued at the sale price paid, not the original price.

Final Sale Items: Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Clearance" are not eligible for return or exchange, except in cases of faulty, defective, or mis-described items (which are always covered under your statutory rights).

When you initiate a return or exchange, we will provide you with a prepaid return label that includes the correct return address. The return address may vary depending on your location and the type of return.

Do not send returns to our business address without prior authorisation or a prepaid return label. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your expense.

If you have any issues with your order or refund, please contact us first at support@gionetto.com so we can resolve the matter quickly and fairly.

⚠️ Chargeback Warning:

If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card issuer (chargeback) instead of contacting us first, this may result in:

  • Your account being suspended or closed
  • Your order being cancelled
  • Chargeback fees being applied to your account
  • Legal action to recover costs and damages
  • Your details being shared with fraud prevention agencies
